Moves & Melodies

Moves and Melodies, Fridays 10.00am for 1-4yrs, taught by Miss Julie in Studio 2.

Fun, high-quality music and movement sessions for little ones and their carers.

Experiment with musical instruments, enjoy bubbles and parachute play, and sing and dance along to familiar songs with Julie and her ukulele.

Miss Julie trained professionally and gained a first class degree in Dance Performance. She teaches ballet, contemporary & tap classes here and has a Saturday school JMC Dance & Music.

She also performs all around the UK with her all singing, all dancing, all tapping act, My Favourite Things and is experienced in co-ordinating children’s parties.

Baby

Mother & Baby Yoga

Thursdays 1100am, Studio 1, taught by Katie Myers

Mother and Baby Yoga is a great way to practice postnatal yoga with your baby in a friendly and supportive environment.            

The focus is to encourage postnatal recovery by stabilising the pelvis, strengthening core muscles & releasing tension from the body.

This helps to raise energy levels & increase a sense of ease within the body. 

All of this is done whilst engaging your baby with songs & movements, providing an excellent opportunity to bond & spend time with your baby.

The classes also provide an opportunity to meet other parents and carers, to share the experiences of caring for a new baby.

No experience is required & all are welcome. Babies start at approx 6 weeks+ and continue until they start to crawl.

Katie Myers is an experienced Pregnancy, Post Natal & Children’s Yoga teacher.

She has studied pre-natal yoga with Birthlight & Children’s Yoga with the Special Yoga Centre.

Kundalini Meditation

Thursdays 700-800pm, taught by Sue Seven in Studio 1

Kundalini Meditation classes are for everyone, and bring together your mind, body and soul.

These classes start by tuning in with a chant;  an introduction into how to be aware of the mind and it’s many facets. 

This type of meditation uses ancient techniques of Pranayama (breathing), Mudras (hand or arm gestures) and Mantras simultaneously to re-wire and recharge your whole system.

This is followed by a deep relaxation to give yourself the time to just be.

Tuning out at the end with ‘the long time sun’ song and chanting three long ‘Sat Naams’.  Then remaining peaceful after class to savour that silence.

Sue Seven is a London based local mother of two, with over 22 years of Kundalini yoga experience, and a qualified KRI Teacher as taught by Yogi Bhajan.

It is not about holding perfect postures; instead it is about moving, breathing and using chants which together help to develop your relationship to your true potential.

Kundalini is spiritual but not a religion; people of all faiths or no particular faith will benefit from practising it, giving you grace, balance, and the ability to remain calm, centred and clear through life’s challenges.

Yoga for Stress Online

This class will help release deep-seated tension, sometimes long held and so engrained in one's physique, that it is often unnoticed until an issue/problem arises. 

Using the breath and increasing awareness in movement and asanas (yoga postures) this tension can be let go of so the body can open, the breath can restore and the mind can settle and clear.

From here the work in strengthening, integrating and harmonising the mind, body and breath begins. 

Audrey has been teaching yoga since 2002 and practicing since 1985 and is qualified in the tradition of Krishnamacharya, as well as holding a British Wheel of Yoga diploma

She is influenced and inspired by John Stirk, Vanda Scaravelli, and TKV Desikachar.

Postnatal Fitness

This class is to regain your fitness levels and boost your confidence after having your baby.

Within the class we pay special attention to the following:

Strengthen the core muscles after pregnancy

Repair diastasis recti with gentle exercises

Strengthen the pelvic floor

Tone the body

Meet other new Mums

If you have resistance bands or dumbbells please bring them along.

Suitable for Mums after your 6-8 week check up.  Babies are not involved in the class but you are welcome to brig them along with you.

Katalin Kaszas is an experienced personal trainer and fitness coach specialising in pre and post-natal fitness/yoga/weight loss.

She is qualified with Future Fit and has also studied with the NCT.
